In 1950, Burton Albion began its journey—taking to the pitch in its first year wearing a striking half-amber, half-black strip. Seventy-five years on, we honour that era with a home kit that blends heritage with forward-thinking design.
This is a shirt rich in symbolism. The amber and black echo that early strip—and, as local legend has it, represent mild and bitter, a tribute to the brewing legacy at the heart of our town.
The collar and cuffs feature the Staffordshire knot—untied. A subtle but powerful reminder: we’re proud of where we come from, but not bound by it. We look outward. We move forward.
The off-white detailing is a nod to the club’s early days, when Burton Albion played in white shorts—a quiet salute to our beginnings.
A black and gold ‘75’ label sits at the hem, marking our anniversary year. On the chest, a state-of-the-art TPU badge carries our specially-designed 75th anniversary crest in gold.
Inside, a stitched Burton-on-Trent motif ties it all to home. Etched within the collar: Burton Albion • 1950–2025 • 75th Brewers Anniversary.
